By twelve, he was already competing internationally, and by fourteen, he had earned his spot on the Canadian National Team. He traveled to nearly thirty countries, medaled at multiple international competitions, and in 2019, represented Canada at the Pan American Games.

Miguel invested over fifty thousand dollars per year into his self funded athletic career, while simultaneously training full time and living inside martial arts studios where he coached students ranging from toddlers to seniors. In 2017, he launched his first Taekwondo academy and scaled it to six hundred students across three locations in the Greater Toronto Area. His vision was working until the global pandemic forced his business to close its doors.

That moment became a turning point. It revealed the vulnerability of physical businesses and sparked Miguel’s transition into entrepreneurship. He began studying the one skill that would unlock any door: sales.

What followed was a five year trial by fire in the fintech industry. Miguel became an elite account executive selling high ticket B2B and D2D solutions for a publicly traded company. He made over one million cold calls and knocked on more than fifty thousand doors. As an introvert by nature, he credits his background in martial arts for helping him transform.
